Seekers of the Night/Day
Night rules
Optional;
All or most Nichelings must have either bat or Bearyena head
All or most Nichelings must have blind eyes
Once you have the true night Nichelings you must find either a swamp or jungle and take it over completely
Mandatory:
All creatures must be Melanistic
All creatures must have bat wings
All Nichelings must have peacock tail
There must be one Albino or double white Nichelings at all times, this Nicheling can only breed if there is no albino/double white heir, and if it dies without producing a albino/double white nicheling you failed
Day rules are basically the same but with albino, normal winged, stinky tailed Nichelings. The one albino nicheling is instead yellow or orange furred nicheling with heat body. They are trying to teach the savanna
To make this extra difficult you can try and do both challenges at once.
Born upon Bones basically however long your adult life span is you have to set pregnancy to at least half that.
Easy, set adult to 100, make pregnancy 50
Medium/hard, set adult to 100, make pregnancy anywhere from 51-100
I have almost 500 hours on Niche, so I’ve made a lot of challenges, but here are the one story I think are the most fun.
Four Corners Challenge:
Start with the biggest island possible, immediately move your pair to the nearest corner Build up your tribe normally until a couple nichelings can split off and form a new group in another corner, do this until you have the number of separated tribes you want Each tribe should have a different pelt color range and gemstone color, they can even have different specialties Each tribe should eventually clear out their own area, borders can be in your head or separated by grass/steams The tribes can either ally or attack one another, if two nichelings get right next to eachother, the nicheling that’s the strongest will take all the other ones surrounding tiles into their territory. If a nicheling from another tribe is surrounded, they will be kicked out and killed or absorbed into the tribe You can either play until you’re satisfied or until there’s only one tribe remaining.
Globetrotter challenge
This ones pretty simple, you must start on story mode.
Make your tribe travel to every island in the game, you don’t have to stay on any island for a certain amount of time, just keep moving.
Keep a google doc of every island and check off the ones you get to
Once you reach the last island, you win!
Twins Challenge
You can do whatever you like with every other part of the game, your end goal is just to make every nicheling look exactly the same. It’s harder than it sounds!
Co-op challenge This one is my all time favorite. You’re going to need a second person to play with you though. One if you plays the female nichelings, one of you plays all the males. The female nichelings are the actual tribe, they ‘kick out’ most males if they’re not good enough, but they keep the best males around so they can breed. Eventually the rogue males will find eachother, their main goal is to breed. They sneak into the female tribe and try to impregnate whoever they can, if the other person lets them breed, there’s no fight. If she doesn’t want to though, whichever nicheling is stronger overpowers the other one. Females can also protect eachother, and so can males, if there’s multiple of them at the same time, their strength combines.
That sounds really unfair to the person controlling the males.
Santa's Reindeer challenge (I, myself have never been able to play the game but I've watched other people do so and know enough about Niche. However, if there's anything I've missed feel free to correct me!)
Rules:
1) You will need to breed 'reindeers' (Nichelings) into your tribe. Once you have at least nine 'reindeers' you must banish the other nichelings who aren't 'reindeers' (or not if you want to keep them all)
2) 'Reindeers' must have megalocerous/antlers, chesnut brown/moss brown fur, big nose/short snout, bearhyena ears/medium ears, two runner legs, hind legs, big body, and medium tail.
3) You may choose first snow, summer mountains, long winter, or frost lands for your starting island.
4) Well of course you can eat meat but if you want this to be more fun the reindeers must eat only berry bushes. Frost lands and long winter aren't recommended for this. (Acorn trees are also allowed but you'll need cracker jaw/hammer tail/nimble fingers to do that, or if there's any tribemates you kept that have those traits you can use them to eat the acorns.)
5) You are allowed to tweak the second rule. For example, if you want your 'reindeers' to eat acorns you'll need to have a 'reindeer' with cracker jaw/hammer tail/nimble fingers. (Only if you banished everyone else who isn't a reindeer)
6) If any rouge males breed with your female reindeers, you can keep the child or banish it once it grows up.
7) The challenge is over when your last remaining reindeer dies off.
BONUS RULE! Name your 'reindeers' after Santa's reindeers (example: Comet, Cupid, Vixen)
Well that's basically it but if there's any questions feel free to ask!
